High relief and gold leaf

An ancient technique often used in the 1700 and 1800 c. Its main applications are in frames for wall plaster and decorations. During the class, students will learn how to reproduce all the different modern techniques for high relief with the addition of colors and gold leaf decoration. The materials used will be glue, wood, plaster, acrylics and gold leaf.

Trecandis Mosaic

A technique born with Gaudì and today used for collective projects upgrading degraded urban suburbs. The technique if often used in areas with restricted dimensions or in small artworks. The materials used are stoneware, majolica and glues for cement on different objects.  

Indian ink on wood

An antique technique used by great masters to produce high quality graphic portraiture. In our laboratory, the students will use different objects and drawings in 3D. The tools used will be nibs, Indian ink, wood and varnish. 

Fabric painting

In the laboratory, students will use fabric colors to practice the art of painting on natural textiles, creating patterned foulards or other artworks.

Classic painting

Through the study of the sfumato technique with oil, the students will execute copies of classic artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Sandro Botticelli, Raffaello Sanzio, Tiziano Vecellio.

Sculpture with gasbeton

In the laboratory, the students will use the gasbeton, a modern construction material, lightweight, easy to mold and transport for artworks of  large dimensions. The tools uses will be small hammers, rasps and knives. 

In february, artistic sessions will start with laboratories of applied arts coordinated by Andreina Giorgia Carpenito and her assistants. 

 

The courses will take place in the Centro Polivalente delle Arti al  Mosaico di Andreina zona i n.7 - Località Indicatore, Arezzo. The Centro Polivalente delle Arti is a school where all the artistic disciplines are taught. The instructors are professional graduates in relevant disciplines committed to using art as a mean to increase inclusion.

Each course is composed of 4 monthly lessons lasting 2 hours per week. The classes will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6.00PM to 8.00PM and from 8.30PM to 10.30PM

 

Courses will be tailored according to student's knowledge and experience with the various techniques and materials. Beginners are welcome. The price of courses, including materials, is 80 Euro.

All participants will receive a certificate and their artworks will be exhibited during events organized by the Cultural Association Ezekiel.

 

The Friends of the Mosaic will receive a 10% discount on all classes.
